Job Overview

Responsible for the Process Engineering discipline at the Belford Roxo site, acting as a member of the Process and Improve Technology group.
Ensures excellence in process safety, technical governance, operational performance, and technology implementation. Directly supports key PSM activities (calorimetry, reaction hazard evaluation, pressure relief verification, HAZOP/LOPA), process design, continuous improvement, emissions reduction, product localization, and technical support to plant operations.

Accountabilities


Lead PSM governance and activities, including risk analyses (HAZOP, LOPA, PHA) and technical studies (Energy/Mass Balance, pressure relief).
Serve as the site MOC champion, ensuring technical quality and compliance with corporate standards.
Lead process design activities and support capital project execution, including coordination with Engineering and external contractors.
Develop and lead process improvement projects, new technology implementation, and the emissions reduction plan.
Conduct process mapping and facilitate kaizen events focused on safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Act as the site’s technical focal point in regional and global forums.
Provide daily operational support, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and batch sheet updates.
Deliver technical training and manage competency development of the engineering team.


Education / Skills


Chemical Engineering degree.
1–5 years of experience in process and/or project engineering in hazardous chemical plants.
Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) — required.
Advanced English — required.
SAP knowledge — desired.
Process simulation (Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS) — desired.
Proactivity.
Results-focused.
Strong teamwork skills.
Effective communication skills.
