Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist - GLT Operations

Role: Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist
Reports To: GLT Operations Manager
Job Overview: The Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist provides support to Draslovka Mining and Process Solutions to develop, implement and execute proactive sourcing, procurement and supply chain services in alignment with regional and global organizational business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and execute end-to-end strategic sourcing processes.
- Apply value analysis and risk analysis to get the best response to client needs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve the best value for the organization.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
- Nurture strategic relationships with suppliers and manage those relationships ensuring spend is optimized.
- Manage and process customs clearances on behalf of Draslovka MPS.
- Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualification, Skills and Competencies:
- Educational Background: Tertiary qualification in relevant field.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain systems.
- Relational skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster productive relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Technical skills: Strong understanding of supply chain cost efficiency, innovation and, project management with applicable compliance and regulatory knowledge. Experience in procurement with the ability to guide purchasing decisions, form and manage contracts and anticipate the needs of the business.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
