DESIGNATION : Product Analyst (Digital News Product)
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Analyst to join the Digital News Product team which is responsible for overseeing Mediacorp's market leading digital websites and apps including CNA, 8World, 8Days, Berita and Seithi.
As a Product Analyst, you will work closely with the product, design and engineering teams to deliver actionable consumer insights across multiple media platforms to help drive better business decision-making.
The Digital News Product team is customer-centric and owns the product roadmap for Mediacorp's suite of market-leading digital news websites and apps.
Responsibilities:
- Own the data-driven consumer insights function, including gathering, analysis and interpretation of data to develop actionable insights for product managers and other stakeholders
- Drive the understanding of user behaviour and trends to identify opportunities for improving user experience, engagement and reach
- Use statistical techniques and data visualization to interpret trends and patterns
- Identify opportunities for product improvements based on data analysis
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Analytics Engineering to ensure proper tracking and instrumentation of new product initiatives and features
- Build a data culture in the team by defining standards and practices for how product groups work with data and providing a strong voice for a data-driven decision making
- Prepare reports and present the story of the data to management and other stakeholders
- Build automated reporting systems/dashboards for the team
- Collaborate with UX research to design and evaluate surveys and surface quantitative insights on customer experience
- Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the impact of changes or new features
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years previous experience as a data analyst, or data engineer and prior experience in product analytics
- Experience with tools such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics and other event tracking tools
- Experience presenting findings to business partners across the organization
- Solid understanding of customer-centric digital product analysis
- Product Management Tools: Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana to manage product backlogs, roadmaps, and user stories
- User Experience (UX) Design: Understanding of UX principles and the ability to work closely with designers to enhance the user experience of the product
- A/B Testing: Experience in planning, executing, and analyzing A/B tests to measure the impact of product changes
- SQL and Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL to extract and analyze data from databases
