About the Job

You will be responsible to manage the day-to-day financial activities of the Product Group (PG) Composite; control its financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, systems and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.

Activities may include: financial analysis and reporting; taxation; insurance; credit control; accounts payable and receivable; inventory and costs control; and budgeting and forecasting.

About the Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a Financial Controller who brings more than just technical skills to the table. Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential—you'll be working closely with cross-functional teams and guiding financial strategy across the organization.

You should have a solid grounding in accounting principles, with proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Your ability to interpret numbers and translate them into actionable insights will be key to driving business performance.

A background in cost accounting and understanding factory results is highly valued, especially if you’ve worked in a manufacturing or production environment.

Familiarity with ERP systems is a must, and experience with platforms like Microsoft Navision and SAP BPC would give you a definite edge.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Analyze the PG’s revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators to forecast its short, medium, and long-term cash flow position; evaluate and recommend investments, funding sources, and other financial instruments that will meet these cash flow needs.
  • Advise PA controller or PG or PA management on financial matters and on the potential impact of current and future laws and regulations on the operation of the organization.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice on financial issues to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
  • Prepare the PG’s monthly financial reports and present findings and recommendations to the PA controller or the top executive group.
  • Industrial accounting: cost accounting, standard cost calculation, manufacturing costs deviations and analysis
  • Reports may include auditor and financial analyst reports; profit and loss statements and balance sheets; and regulatory reports and filings.
  • Ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time. Select, and manage ongoing relationships with, external consultants and advisors (for example tax advisors, accounting firms) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop financial staff to ensure that the organization’s accounting activities are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Needs to activate sales- and project managers.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, accounting or finance
  • Minumum of 3-5 years experience in a financial controller role
  • Well experienced in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English language, both written and verbal
  • Experience with multinationals.

Key Interfaces and Stakeholders

External: Grant Thornton who is managing the finance in Czech Republic, tax advisors and auditors.

Internal: Managing director of Composite hose business, PA management, PA controller, local finance team, local sales managers, customer service, purchasing department, IT, and occasionally other controllers.

Geography to cover and travel requirements

NL, US, CZ. Very limited travelling required.
