Our Journey
ShopBack began in 2014 as a late-night spark of inspiration between Henry and Joel — not just to build a Cashback platform, but to reimagine how brands and consumers connect. As former advertisers, they understood the limitations of traditional marketing, and saw an opportunity to deliver more value on both sides. That idea quickly turned into action, and the first prototype was built over a weekend with the other co-founders. Today, ShopBack serves over 50 million users across 13 markets, partners with 20,000+ merchants, and powers over half a million transactions daily. We're building The World’s Most Rewarding Way to Shop — and looking for bold, driven individuals to join us.
About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, Finance Systems to own and evolve the internal systems and tools that power ShopBack’s financial reporting, reconciliation and automation across our markets.
This role is well-suited for product managers as well as candidates from finance systems, integrations, data platforms or business analysis backgrounds who are excited to take end-to-end ownership of complex internal systems. You will work closely with Finance, Data and Engineering teams to translate accounting and operational requirements into scalable, audit-ready products while driving improvements in control, data quality and usability.
Open to candidates with backgrounds in Finance Systems, Integrations, Data Platforms, or Business Analysis.
Your Adventure Ahead
- Product Ownership & Delivery
- Own the product roadmap for internal finance tools supporting financial reporting, reconciliation, provisioning and automation across all markets.
- Balance near-term delivery with a multi-year vision for scalability, compliance and integration.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of internal finance tools from requirements discovery and product design through testing, launch and ongoing optimization.
Finance Systems & Control- Deeply understand finance workflows, accounting logic and audit requirements to translate them into clear, actionable product designs.
- Define detailed product requirements including functional flows, business rules, data field definitions, mappings and edge cases.
- Design systems with strong internal controls in mind – including audit trails, exception handling, segregation of duties and data lineage.
Data & Reconciliation Logic- Take ownership of last-mile data correctness by building reconciliation logic, mappings, exception workflows and remediation tooling when upstream systems are imperfect or priorities differ.
- Partner with Engineering and Data teams to design scalable solutions, review technical approaches and clarify data integration paths.
Stakeholder Collaboration- Act as a bridge between Finance, Data and Engineering teams to align priorities, surface trade-offs and drive decisions.
- Challenge and refine requirements by proposing process improvements and control-safe alternatives rather than implementing requests at face value.
Communication & Decision-Making- Communicate complex problems and decisions with clarity and brevity, especially in fast-moving or ambiguous discussions.
- Articulate trade-offs clearly and make timely, well-reasoned decisions that balance speed, accuracy and risk.
Change Management & Adoption- Drive change management and adoption by supporting rollout plans, training finance users and embedding best practices in governance and controls.
