Job Responsibilities :

The Product Quality Senior Engineer is responsible for driving quality and reliability excellence across new product development and mass production phases. This role executes and leads advanced qualification activities, performs deep dive data analysis, drives structured root cause investigations, and partners closely with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer Support to prevent defects and improve product performance.

As a senior technical contributor, the engineer applies strong reliability engineering principles, advanced statistical methods, and AI assisted analytics to elevate product robustness, reduce field returns, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Product Quality & Reliability Qualification

  • Lead and execute quality and reliability tests for new product introductions (NPI).

  • Ensure full test coverage, risk assessment, and compliance with qualification requirements.

  • Support milestone builds through detailed quality reviews and readiness checks.

2. Advanced Failure Analysis & Issue Resolution

  • Drive root‑cause investigations for product failures using structured methodologies.

  • Work with R&D and cross‑functional teams to validate corrective and preventive actions.

  • Provide technical leadership in resolving complex quality issues across development and mass production.

3. Data Analytics & AI‑Supported Quality Improvement

  • Analyze test data, reliability results, and field performance trends to identify emerging risks.

  • Apply AI/ML tools (where applicable) to support predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and defect prevention.

  • Develop dashboards and technical reports to enable data‑driven decision making.

4. Process & Standards Management

  • Define, maintain, and improve quality plans, reliability test methods, and qualification documentation.

  • Support enhancements to testing coverage, accuracy, and process efficiency through digitalization.

  • Ensure compliance with internal QMS processes and industry standards.

5. Cross‑Functional & Supplier Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Manufacturing to drive design improvements and production readiness.

  • Support supplier evaluations, audits, and reliability performance reviews.

  • Coordinate with external test labs for qualification execution and validation.

6. Field Quality Support

  • Analyze RMA trends, customer returns, and field data to identify systemic issues.

  • Work cross‑functionally to implement preventive and corrective actions that improve field performance.

  • Occasional Travel to local & overseas sites to support qualification and quality activities

Pre-Requisites :

  • Degree in Engineering ( Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical , Computer ) discipline

  • Strong technical foundation in quality engineering, reliability engineering, or product validation.

  • Knowledge of reliability testing, environmental stress testing, failure mechanisms, and test standards.

  • 2 years and above of experience working in the hardware reliability, quality and/or process discipline. Fresh Grad are welcome to apply

  • Proven experience supporting NPI builds and resolving complex quality issues.

  • Familiarity with QMS processes and qualification documentation requirements.

  • Experience in consumer electronics, PC products, or peripherals manufacturing is an advantage.

  • Skilled with Data analytics, Statistical & Reliability tools (Excel, Power BI) would be added advantage

  • Exposure to AI/ML quality analytics, predictive modeling, or automated defect detection is a strong plus.

  • Knowledge of scripting/programming (Python, Linux/Windows) is beneficial.

  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Effective communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating across teams.

  • High accountability, attention to detail, and willingness to take ownership of technical challenges.

  • Ability to work independently and lead technical tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems would be added advantage

  • Ability to support qualification builds, supplier visits, and occasional overseas travel.

  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced, dynamic engineering and production environments.
