The primary responsibilities of a mixer are blending liquid batches. Additional duties include measuring and recording results of the batch, weighing and verifying materials added to a batch, following the bill of materials (BOM) and blending instructions, and all the duties assigned by their supervisor. The production mixer is responsible for following all safety and ISO procedures and maintaining a clean and organized area.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Measure and record batch results
  • Take samples to the lab for QC testing
  • Testing samples in accordance with product specifications
  • Following BOM and blending instructions
  • Pull and stage raw materials
  • Clean and maintain blending equipment
  • Notify supervisor or QC of any problems with a batch
  • Tote or drum off blending tanks as required
  • Fill out all required paperwork
  • Keep area clean and well organized
  • Bulk Loading/Unloading
  • Any duty required / requested to insure the continuing operation of manufacturing department
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • High school education or GED
  • Previous manufacturing experience, preferred
  • Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs
  • Follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to fill-out production paperwork
  • Solid math skills
