Job Summary:
This role is responsible for supervising and supporting all weekend shift production employees while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations in alignment with EOS accountability. The position oversees all departments on the shift, manages workflows and schedules to meet production deadlines, enforces company policies, GMPs, SOPs, and safety standards, and serves as a key liaison between production leadership and Human Resources. Core responsibilities include monitoring OEE and quality, addressing machine and employee issues in real time, completing daily production, payroll, and incident documentation, administering corrective actions and first-step grievance reviews, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and participating in performance management, training, and continuous improvement efforts. The role requires strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, working knowledge of manufacturing systems and management platforms, prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to meet the physical, environmental, and scheduling demands of weekend-shift production work.

- Safety and Security of Shift Employees and Assets
Supervisory Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implement EOS methodology, including participation in OEE Same Page meetings, Weekly Production Same Page meetings, ROCKs, and Scorecard Metrics. LMA regarding Shift Employees, and others as needed. Deep knowledge of Supervisory systems/tools, develop and oversee the enforcement of company guidelines, and participate in overall company performance management. Complete training and professional development with all direct reports as needed.
- Supervise ALL Departments, scheduling workflows to meet deadlines, and oversee the production process.
- Direct and oversee ALL Department functions/personnel
o Subordinates: ALL employees assigned to Weekend Shift (including those assigned to the shift for Overtime Assignments)
- Oversee Department programming (Safety, Quality, SQF, etc.) o Key Functions within Programs/Processes
- Provide guidance and direction for direct reports when needed.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- IT Security Compliance – Participate in and adhere to company-provided cybersecurity education and prevention courses, ensuring compliance with IT security policies and best practices to protect company data systems.
- Participate in the EOS platform – Attend scheduled one-on-one meetings, quarterly discussions, annual reviews, and departmental meetings. Complete Performance Management documents and quarterly ROCKs, and report weekly Scorecard Metrics as assigned.
- Oversee, communicate, and help administer Culture/Employee Engagement programming.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Enforce work rules/policies, GMPs, and SOPs
- Confirm Employee Payroll Notes Daily
o Include any needed timesheet notes (daily)
o Communicate any employee schedule changes to Human Resources
- Continuously monitor machine OEE and Quality
- Direct and supervise bargaining unit employees in their daily responsibilities
- Oversee Shift Change at the End of the Shift
- Promptly address Job Oks and complete data entry for Job Close and Shift Close
- Be visible and available to immediately address ALL bargaining unit concerns
- Complete the Production Report daily
- Perform verification of traceability audit requirements within all departments necessary
- Document ALL employee incidents (Anything that impacts, Safety, Quality, and Production – includes behavior, injuries, machine issues, etc.)
o Consistent and Accurate use of Employee Progressive Disciplinary Process o Consistent and Accurate use of Corrective Action Form
o Complete and Accurate use of the First Report of Injury (FROI) Form
- Address and down machines, and report issues to Converting Manager and Facilities Superintendent
- Assist machine operators with troubleshooting when necessary
- Perform SOPs and daily work assigned by management
- Participate in employee performance reviews and training
- Schedule and conduct shift meetings when necessary o Start of Shift Preview
o Stand-down Meetings o Etc.
- Communicate with other Shift Supervisors and Production Managers
- Document employee absences using the HRIS System (TruPay) notes
- Participate in continuing education and company meetings
- Review and attempt resolution of 1st Step Grievances with Converting Manager before being sent to HR
- Assist with corrective action investigations involving policy and procedure issues
- Assist in creating, modification, and implementation of policy, rules, and regulations
- Performs other duties as required.

- Experience or Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 365 (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation Models, Calendar/Scheduling, Task Manager, SharePoint) is required.
- Experience or Working Knowledge of the following Management Platforms is preferred. o HRIS (Human Resource Information System) – Inspire by TruPay (Kronos)
o ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) – Advantzware
o WES/OEE (Warehouse Execution System/Overall Equipment Effectiveness)– Vorne o IMS (Inventory Management System) – Netstock
o PMS (Performance Management System) – PrimaLogik o EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) – 90.io
Education and Experience:
- Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
- High School Diploma or GED required, Post-Secondary education related to supervision/management/manufacturing operations is preferred
- Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
Standing/Sitting – Job requires prolonged standing, sitting, or both. Walking – Walking is required for extended periods or across long distances.
Climbing – Occasionally requires climbing ladders, stairs, or scaffolding, or use of scissor lift to heights of approximately sixteen (16) feet.
Bending/Kneeling/Crouching – Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching is needed. Lifting/Carrying – Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly
Pushing/Pulling – Occasionally involves pushing or pulling heavy loads. Reaching/Handling – Frequent reaching, grasping, or fine motor skills are necessary.
Hearing Requirements – The ability to hear alarms, machinery, or verbal instructions in a noisy environment.
Visual Requirements – Vision needs such as color recognition, depth perception, close-up work, or operating equipment is required.
Speech/Communication – Clear verbal communication with team members and employees is required.
Temperature Extremes – Work occurs in hot, cold, or fluctuating temperatures.
Exposure to Elements – Role has exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, and/or outdoor conditions. Workplace Hazards – Position works around moving machinery, high-voltage equipment, and/or confined spaces.
Hand-Eye Coordination – Precision work is involved for quality assurance.
Manual Dexterity – Fine motor skills are needed for tasks like assembly, machine operation, or typing.
Repetitive Motions – Occasional tasks involve frequent repetitive movements (e.g., scanning, sorting, cutting).
Shift Work – Job requires weekend shift. Weekend AM Shift Schedule Friday through Sunday, with production running from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM (Supervisor would arrive pre-shift for asset scheduling and remain until production ends and the building is closed).
Overtime Requirements – The position is designed to be completed within a 40-hour workweek; however, additional hours may be required to meet business demands.
