We are a mid sized family owned manufacturer of Flexible Packaging located South of O'Hare airport. We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor or Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing in one our facilities. The main processes you will be responsible for are printing, lamination and slitting. Experience in one or all of these will be required. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. This second facility has limited pieces of equipment, we will be looking to the candidate to improve and standardize operations to prepare for future growth. We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. If you are up to it, we’d like to talk to you. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements. This is a high visibility position and will have opportunity to work with executive management and ownership of the company.
Responsibilities
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Document and standardize best practices and operating procedures
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel
- Help determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
- Ensure output meets quality standards
- Enforce health and safety precautions
- Communicate and work with Management to formulate objectives and understand requirements.
Skills
- Experience in the printing industry is required (please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement)
- Knowledge of lamination and or slitting/converting is a plus
- Good opportunity for Supervisor looking to move up to manager
- Some experience in a supervisory role is required
- Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding communication ability
- Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
Salary will be competitive based upon experience relevant to the job.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
