Job Overview

A busy, loving, and energetic family in Cypress is seeking a reliable and trustworthy part-time nanny to support their three school-aged children during before- and after-school hours.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with older children, can remain calm in a fast-paced home, and values safety, structure, routine, and clear communication.

The family recently relocated and is looking for consistent and dependable support during key transition times in the morning and afternoon.

Children

• Three children (ages 11, 9, and 6)
• All are school-aged and fairly independent
• The oldest is self-sufficient and organized
• The middle child benefits from homework reinforcement and redirection
• The youngest needs routine guidance and supervision

ScheduleMorning Shift

Monday–Friday | Approx. 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM

• Nanny arrives at 6:30 AM to support the morning routine
• Oldest child leaves earlier for the bus stop
• Younger children leave later (bus or school drop-off will be determined)

Afternoon Shift

Monday–Friday | Approx. 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

• Meet children at the bus stop
• Safely transport them home together
• Provide supervision and after-school support

Weekly Hours

• Approximately 10 hours per week
• Potential for slight flexibility or additional hours as needs evolve

Primary Responsibilities

Morning

• Light breakfast support
• Ensure children eat before school
• Backpack checks (primarily for younger children)
• Support a calm and efficient morning routine
• Ensure children arrive to bus stop/school on time

Afternoon

• Meet children at bus stop and ensure safe transition home
• Provide snacks after school
• Supervise children at all times
• Reinforce homework completion
• Help children stay on task and follow routine
• Encourage positive behavior and respectful interactions

Household Support

• On select days (especially Tuesdays and Fridays), assist with light dinner preparation

Additional Notes

• Family has a friendly dog
• No pet care required, but candidate must be comfortable around a dog in the home

Requirements

• 3+ years of childcare experience
• Prior experience with school-aged children
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable transporting children as needed
• CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Must pass a background check
• Must provide professional childcare references

Compensation

• $20/hour

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
