Project Accountant Manager

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Residential Project Accountant team, including supervision, performance management, training, workload distribution, and hiring support.
• Oversee project accounting operations, ensuring accurate job setup, invoicing, VPO lifecycle management, and alignment with project budgets and timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for billing, cost inquiries, and accounting workflows, partnering with internal stakeholders and finance on reconciliations and month-end close.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities, while reporting on project status and team performance.
• Drive process improvements, maintain SOPs, and ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.

What We Are Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of project accounting or construction accounting experience required.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or team lead experience required.

Preferred:

• Experience with ERP systems and/or construction management platforms (e.g., Vanir, Procore, Sage, or similar) strongly preferred.
