Title:
Project Controls ManagerDue to continued growth and project wins, our KBR Adelaide team is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead project controls across a major program of works spanning infrastructure and defence sectors.
You will be responsible for establishing and leading integrated project controls across cost, schedule, risk and change management, ensuring projects are delivered in line with program objectives.
This is a key leadership role providing governance, data-driven insights, and decision support to senior stakeholders, while driving continuous improvement across project controls practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multidisciplinary project controls teams (cost, schedule, risk, estimating and reporting)
Establish and implement integrated project controls frameworks, systems and processes
Develop and maintain program baselines across cost, schedule and risk
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost control and financial performance
Lead the development and management of integrated project schedules (Primavera P6)
Establish and manage risk and change management processes
Deliver clear, accurate and timely reporting to senior stakeholders and clients
Review and challenge cost estimates, forecasts and performance outcomes
Drive governance, assurance and reporting frameworks
Identify risks, opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives
Apply modern, data-driven project controls tools and reporting (e.g. Power BI)
Build and mentor a high-performing team
What You’ll Bring:
Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Commerce or similar
10+ years’ experience in Project Controls across cost, schedule, risk and change
Proven experience leading project controls on large-scale infrastructure or defence programs
Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and governance reporting
Experience implementing or improving project controls systems and frameworks
Advanced understanding of integrated scheduling (Primavera P6 desirable)
Strong data and reporting capability, including use of modern tools (e.g. Power BI)
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience managing teams in complex, fast-paced environments
Ability to influence decision-making at senior levels
Defence project experience and/or security clearance eligibility advantageous
