About Your Work

The Project Manager III will be responsible for overseeing project planning across enterprise, facilitating team collaboration and ensuring agile principles and methodologies are applied. This role requires an understanding of agile practices, strong leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements. This role plays a crucial role in planning, executing, and overseeing complex projects within an organization. In addition, the Project Manager III will engage and manage any external resources required to deliver project initiatives. The Project Manager III works closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership in ensuring the successful execution of agile projects across enterprise.

You Will Focus On:

  • Project Planning and Initiation:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments
  • Secure project approvals and necessary resources
  • Agile Methodology Implementation:
  • Lead agile teams, following Agile principles and methodologies.
  • Foster culture of continuous improvement with the team
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and apply learnings forward
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Promote communication and collaboration within project team
  • Work across enterprise to identify how to remove obstacles that hinder progress, collaboration among team members and stakeholders
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess project and/or enterprise risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Proactively manage and monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle

  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing project updates and ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and address their concerns
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
  • Implement quality control processes and conduct quality reviews
  • Resource Management:
  • Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets
  • Optimize resource utilization to maximize project efficiency
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare regular status reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns in a timely manner
  • Change Management:
  • Implement change control procedures to handle scope changes and deviations from the project plan
  • Ensure that changes are documented and approved


The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and related experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience as an agile project manager or scrum master, with a proven track record of managing complex projects successfully.
  • Must be skilled applying project management techniques and have strong understanding of project management tools and approaches to manage agile projects.
  • Requires the ability to be self-directed and work independently and excellent business and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to manage communications up and down.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing and challenging situations.
  • Strong influential and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent leadership, team management and relationship building skills and ability to focus both strategically and tactically to achieve business goals.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and principles (Scrum, Lean, Kanban)
  • Strong knowledge of project management best practices
  • Strong team management skills
  • Proficiency in Agile project Management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
  • Proficient knowledge of the healthcare industry, the unique challenges of the industry’s business models and strategies used to support them
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Proficient knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Epic IT Application projects or other comparable IT Application projects.
  • PMP Certification and/or Related Project Management Certifications
  • Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master) preferred

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location. This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.

Physical Requirements: Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork – Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
