Property Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a well-experienced, competent Property Manager responsible for the daily operations and management of one multi-residential apartment complex in Scarborough with a small team of on-site staff. The ideal candidate must have good interpersonal skills dealing with contractors, suppliers, tenants, staff members and working knowledge supervising maintenance and renovation works.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Responsible for overseeing the daily functions and operations of the apartment complex including managing a team of onsite staff, set work, schedules, respond to customer inquiries and complaints and enforce policies and procedures.
• Coordinate activities of building superintendents
• Ensure a high level of customer service for current and prospective tenants
• Oversee the leasing process and lease administration in Yardi with the Property Administrator to rent vacant units in the complex.
• Establishing and maintain comprehensive files on current tenants, suppliers and contractors
• Preparing and tracking of purchase orders
• Arrange and supervise contractors to perform maintenance works
• Investigate and resolve tenant’s complaints
• Ensure proper legal action is taken against non-paying tenants
• Liaise and work with the insurer on handling personal injury cases.
• Act as liaison and oversee the management of the common Recreation Centre in the complex.
• Work with Executive Director to upgrade, renovate and reposition the complex and drive the turnover to increase the rental yield.
• Prepare monthly reports and report to the Executive Director
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:-

• Have 5+ years experience in multi-family residential property management
• Experience in large scale renovation and turnover project is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills and good judgement
• Familiar with real estate contracts and leases
• Knowledge of building construction, HVAC, fire, safety, and mechanical systems is an asset.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task and detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and in Yardi

Pay: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
