Property Manager Experienced In 55+ And Affordable Housing Community

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housing Manager to oversee the operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, manage facilities effectively, and provide exceptional customer service to residents. This role requires a strong understanding of housing laws and regulations, as well as the ability to handle conflicts and maintain a positive living environment for all tenants.

Duties

• Manage daily operations of housing facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Oversee tenant relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements.
• Maintain accurate records through data entry and administrative tasks and tracking maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to address facility issues promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of property to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure that staff follow established safety policies and regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities management or property management is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housing laws, including Fair Housing regulations and LIHTC compliance.
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for effective communication with residents.
• Proficiency in data entry and administrative tasks; familiarity with CMMS is a plus.
• Ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism.
• A background in law or related fields is advantageous but not required.

Requirements:

• Must have experience in Tax-Credit and Affordable Housing
• Certifications related to the position (COS, EIV, LIHTC, etc.)
• Must have experience as a leasing professional in a residential community with a proven track record of success in meeting occupancy and delinquency.
• Annual certification experience.
• Supervisory experience of personnel and maintenance staff
• Must have great customer service and able to handle and resolve resident conflicts.
• Experience with property management software, RealPage a strong plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Valid Driving License and automobile insurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
