Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly with children, and possess the skills necessary to provide effective psychological assessments and interventions. This role involves working in a hospital setting, where you will contribute to the mental health and well-being of our patients through evidence-based practices and research.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for patients, focusing on children and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide therapy and counseling services to patients, utilizing various therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Participate in data collection for research purposes to enhance treatment methodologies.
- Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to psychological practices and patient care.
- Educate patients and families about mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Psychologist.
- Experience working with children in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education needs and how they relate to psychological services.
- Proficiency in data collection methods for psychological research.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining patient confidentiality.
