Pt Flexible Hours Nanny $30-38/ Hr. Alexandria, Va (Start Asap)

Looking for a nanny to provide care for a 3 year old girl with developmental delays. Guaranteed 20 hours per week to start, potential for full time by the fall. Hours are very flexible as they are willing to work around the nannies schedule, any days Monday through Saturday. Both Mom and Dad are professionals who work from home and prioritizes family. The home vibe is casual, loving, clean and tidy. No pets.

Schedule & Structure

• Hours: Very Flexible, can be a few hours every day Monday - Saturday of longer hours 3 days a week.
• Guarantee: 20 hours/week to start
• Commitment: 9-12 months, hoping to find a nanny that will be long term and even attend school with their daughter for several years.
• Live-out role, some travel throughout the year would be helpful.

Core Responsibilities

• Child-focused care, create a warm, structured day with activities.
• Purposeful focus on meeting developmental milestones.
• Plan outdoor time, build a simple activity schedule and help find socialization opportunities.
• Light household help: occasional laundry, tidying toys, organizing play and meal areas...

The family is looking for someone who is:

• Cable of lifting 40 lbs.
• Patient, unflappable and nurturing: stays steady, uses calm, clear communication.
• Lots of energy.
• Takes initiative, needs little direction.
• Keeps child engaged, curious, and safe.
• Proactive: brings ideas for learning, play, and gentle risk-taking in appropriate, structured ways.
• Experience with special needs and delayed learning is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 plus years nanny experience.
• Confident with developmental milestones.
• CPR/First Aid (or willing to obtain promptly).
• High school diploma or higher. Some college preferred.
• Safe driver with a reliable, insured vehicle for on-duty use (mileage arrangements per family/agency policy).
• Excellent references and professional boundaries/confidentiality.
• Agency Requirements: We require a minimum of 9 references (3 Childcare, 3 Employment, and 3 Personal). This is nonnegotiable.

Compensation & Benefits

• 20 Guaranteed Hours Per Week to start
• Hourly $30-$38, payroll
• Paid Time Off: PTO/Sick days 6 plus 5 vacation days (prefer to aligned with families travel days), 4 paid holidays.
• Health Contribution: $250/month toward health insurance.
