Role description:

This role will be responsible for:

• Management of selected pursuits and bids, including performing the role of Pursuit Leader for selected opportunities.
• Ensure preparation of bids is consistently of a high standard, and in accordance with best practice bid strategies\
• Management of bid processes with a view to increasing strike rate and margin
• Working with the SPEC APAC team allow for more efficient proposal preparation throughout Australia.
• To improve the consistency, quality and performance of the pursuit processes, particularly high value / high importance major opportunities.

The Pursuits and Proposal Manager role reports directly to the Proposals Manager role.

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you’ll operate across both pursuit and proposal phases, ensuring we’re not just responding to opportunities, but actively shaping them and converting them into wins.

Pursuit phase

• Support and help drive pursuit planning for priority opportunities
• Work with internal stakeholders to shape win strategies and value propositions early
• Facilitate pursuit workshops, win strategy sessions and planning discussions
• Help build stronger client focus by aligning pursuits to client needs and insights

Proposal phase

• Lead and manage the end-to-end proposal process from kick-off through to submission
• Facilitate kick-offs, stand-ups, storyboard sessions and reviews with confidence
• Translate capture insights into clear, compelling, client-focused submissions
• Ensure alignment with governance, quality standards and deadlines
• Drive consistency, accuracy and impact across every submission

Qualifications & Experience:

You’re someone who can move seamlessly between big-picture thinking and detailed delivery, and you enjoy bringing structure and clarity to complex pursuits and proposals.

You’ll have:

• 7-14 years’ experience in proposals and pursuits, ideally in professional services or B2B space
• Experience contributing to pursuit planning and win strategy development
• Strong proposal management experience across complex submissions
• Confident facilitation skills and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent written communication skills, with a knack for clear, persuasive storytelling
• Strong planning and time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities
• A collaborative mindset and drive for continuous improvement
