Role description:

To undertake pursuits and establish and maintain proposal systems and processes to enable the delivery of budgeted sales each year

• Ensure production of proposals match Arcadis’ strategies
• Differentiate Arcadis from the competition by upgrading tools, reworking documentation and seeking out innovative approaches to IR tasks
• Ensure submissions are compelling and professionally presented
• Ensure bid management process is effective by implementing best practice methodology to efficiently achieve submission deadlines

The Pursuit Leader role reports directly to the National Pursuit and Bid Lead.

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you’ll lead pursuit planning and early client positioning, ensuring we are well placed to win before opportunities even hit the market. You will:

Drive pursuit planning and positioning

• Lead early-stage pursuit planning, working with business leaders to identify, shape and position priority opportunities
• Facilitate pursuit workshops, win strategy sessions and client planning discussions
• Coach teams on competitive positioning, value propositions and win themes
• Provide strategic advice on pursuit selection and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions with a clear understanding of probability of win

Lead high value pursuits

• Oversee and drive major, complex pursuits from strategy through to submission
• Ensure alignment between client insights and proposal execution
• Act as a trusted advisor to pursuit leaders and senior stakeholders

Facilitate and influence

• Confidently facilitate kick-offs, storyboard sessions, reviews and presentation rehearsals
• Influence senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to align around a clear win strategy
• Uplift capability across the business through coaching and best practice

Qualifications & Experience:

You’re not just a doer. You’re a leader, facilitator and strategist who can see the bigger picture and bring people with you.

You’ll have:

• 15+ years’ experience in pursuit and proposals, ideally within professional services or the B2B space
• Proven experience leading complex proposals and influencing win strategy
• Strong experience in pursuit planning and early client positioning
• Excellent facilitation skills, comfortable leading workshops with senior stakeholders
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to operate at both strategic and detail levels
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for winning
