Quality Assurance Officer

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our team in Walsh’s Bakehouse bakery.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the company's quality assurance and control systems to ensure proper execution of products and customer satisfaction every time.

Part-time, permanent position (hours are flexible).

Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Work closely with the production team to monitor and improve quality processes
• Generate weekly/monthly KPI's
• Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Assist in maintaining and updating HACCP plans and quality documentation
• Arrange product samples/environmental swabs for external testing as per schedules.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality and food safety
• Key role in external audits (BRC, Customer, Regulatory)
• Handle all corrective actions to include Customer Complaints, Supplier Corrective Actions, and Internal Corrective Actions.
• Responsible for employee training, implementing training schedule
• Ensure traceability and traceability procedures are up to date and effective.
• Use of in-house specialised food software programme to manage goods inwards/outwards/traceability.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous Quality experience within a food industry
• Operational knowledge of BRC, HACCP and customer standards
• Strong Organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Efficient computer skills
• Ability to learn and operate new software

Pay: From €17.50 per hour

Experience:
