Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join a leading team in the construction, engineering and mining industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive tender submissions, including scope review, material take-offs, and cost estimates. This role involves close collaboration with project teams to ensure effective planning and execution of projects in the construction, mining, and resource sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documentation to assess scope, specific terms, and conditions related to SMP (Structural, Mechanical, Piping) projects in the mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial industries.
• Prepare and coordinate the subcontractor components of tenders, focusing on Structural, Mechanical, and Piping requirements for mining and oil & gas facilities.
• Conduct comprehensive material take-offs, man-hour estimates, and calculate mobilisation/demobilisation costs for large-scale projects in these sectors.
• Assist in developing construction schedules and methodologies tailored to the complexities of SMP projects in mining and oil & gas environments.
• Obtain competitive quotes for SMP materials and services and collaborate in tender reviews with senior management to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Compile and present detailed cost estimates and tender documentation using spreadsheets or databases, providing accurate financial projections.
• Collaborate with project teams during tender handovers and support the calculation of work claims based on project execution.
• Maintain strict adherence to company Quality Assurance standards, promoting a professional reputation within both mining and oil & gas sectors.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, with extensive expertise in Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) projects within the mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial industries.
• Proficiency in Primavera 6 is advantageous but not required
• Strong knowledge of SMP fabrication and installation processes specific to the mining and oil & gas industries.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and work instructions, particularly in mining or oil & gas operations.
• Willingness to work full-time at Arcovia City, Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City.
