Required: A friendly but busy law firm in Scarborough is looking to fill a full time contract position to replace the current person going on maternity leave.
Typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This is a front desk position which include the following responsibilities:
- general front office and receptionist duties
- greeting clients
- answering and directing phone calls
- monitoring all faxes and emails and forwarding them as required to the appropriate person
- monitoring and ordering supplies
- creation of files and file management
- assigning files to the clerks and lawyers to ensure a balanced workload
- scanning packages
- checking mail and coordinating with couriers
- contacting third parties to gather information
- other related duties and assisting with lawyers and law clerks as required
Requirements:
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
- excellent interpersonal and client service skills
- confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
