Te Tūranga - The Role
Based in Christchurch, the Recruitment Specialist plays a key role in delivering a seamless, proactive, and high-quality recruitment service across the organisation.
This is an end-to-end recruitment role with a strong focus on building capability, embedding best practice, and designing forward-thinking sourcing strategies to attract diverse talent across New Zealand and, at times, regional markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing robust, forward-looking recruitment strategies that attract and engage diverse talent.
- Partner with leaders to proactively manage workforce planning.
- Ownership of the entire end to end recruitment process to ensure the delivery of a consistent, high-quality recruitment experience by supporting, guiding and enabling hiring managers throughout the full recruitment lifecycle
- Champion a consistent, high-quality candidate experience
- Lead key recruitment outreach initiatives, including internship and graduate programmes
- Lead the adoption and optimisation of recruitment systems (Workday), ensuring hiring managers and HR team members are trained, supported, and confident in their use.
- Promote fair, consistent, and best-practice recruitment approaches across the business

You're a proactive and relationship-focused recruitment professional who enjoys partnering with leaders and influencing great hiring outcomes.
You bring:
- 3+ years' recruitment experience in-house or agency
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practice and sourcing strategies
- Experience using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, talent pipelines, and ATS/CRM systems (ideally Workday)
- Demonstrated experience owning end to end recruitment
- Confidence coaching and advising hiring managers
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A focus on delivering a positive and consistent candidate experience
