Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a Regional Manager Asia based in Singapore. This role will oversee all sales and service activities in the APAC region, encompassing responsibilities such as developing customer relationships across the region for SPM products.
What You Will Do:
Customer Engagement:
Develop strong customer relationships, building loyalty, and creating opportunities that provide SPM with a competitive advantage.
Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and strengthen the quality of the company’s relationship with them.
Consolidate existing business while generating new opportunities.
Sales and Market Strategy:
Develop and implement sales strategies to enhance market presence and achieve sales targets in the region.
Monitor and track all market opportunities, collect and analyse accurate market data, and develop regional sales action plans.
Promote SPM products to all customers, both old and new.
Team Collaboration and Coordination:
Coordinate and collaborate with all support functions to ensure effective teamwork and collaboration.
Work alongside engineering, inside sales, product specialists, and account teams.
Partner with HR, manufacturing, administration, and EHS departments.
Collaborate with local Sales and LS personnel, in-country staff, and Senior Management of SPM to achieve results.
Team Performance and Development:
Ensure the delivery of targets through individual recognition, performance review, people management, and reward.
Focus on personal career growth to benefit both the company and the individual.
Plan for succession within the team and prioritize staff welfare and growth opportunities.
Financial and Operational Management:
Control costs and manage expenses effectively.
Track financial performance in the responsible countries and manage expenses.
Reporting and Compliance:
Generate and submit timely monthly reports as requested.
Implement and oversee EHS initiatives to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management as needed.
What You Have:
Solid Sales & Marketing experience in Oil & Gas service sector with drilling and completion experience
Proven experience in sales management, in the APAC region
Comprehensive knowledge of API 6A and associated equipment
Good Management Skills
Good Commercial Skills
Good knowledge of manufacturing requirements, QA/QC and API specs.
Good cultural understanding
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
