About the role:

This is a hands-on senior clinical role for an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys supporting others and leading by example. You will use your strong clinical judgement to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, while also providing day-to-day clinical support and coaching to the RN team.

You will work closely with residents, families, and the wider care team, contributing to positive clinical outcomes and a supportive team environment.

Duties include:

• Provide safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care

• Monitor changes in residents’ conditions and behaviours and respond appropriately

• Administer medicines and oversee medication management

• Wound assessment and wound management

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation

• Support, coach, and clinically guide Registered Nurses and care staff

• Assist with clinical decision-making and escalation of care when required

• Reassure and educate residents and their families

• Initiate and manage appropriate treatment in emergency situations

Skills and Experience:

• Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate

• Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience as a Registered Nurse

• Experience in aged care or another relevant clinical setting

• Strong clinical judgement and assessment skills

• Confidence in supporting and coaching other Registered Nurses

• Comfortable in a hands-on clinical role

• Good computer skills with clear and concise documentation

• Strong people skills and genuine empathy for residents and families
