About the Role

This role operates within a 24/7, seven day roster and involves working alongside a diverse range of professional roles across Te Pare ō Toi and the wider Hauora a Toi teams.

The position focuses on supporting whānau to achieve Toi Ora, while also receiving ongoing support for continuous learning and the application of new knowledge. A key aspect of the role includes championing and strengthening Toi Ora knowledge and competence within the workforce.

This is a fixed-term, part-time 0.7 FTE opportunity (working 28 hours per week) until June 2027.

About the Team/Service/Location

Te Pare ō Toi is Hauora a Toi Māori Health services. We seek courageous, passionate, and driven individuals who are inspired by Te Tiriti o Waitangi and want to be part of leading a paradigm shift toward Toi Ora within Te Moana a Toi.

About You

Are you a registered nurse with a passion for making a positive difference and championing the wellbeing of whānau, hapū, and iwi?

What you will bring:

  • Current NZNC registration and a valid Annual Practising Certificate
  • Experience working within Kaupapa Māori models of practice, with a genuine commitment to supporting whānau through culturally grounded care
  • A passion for delivering Te Ao Māoriinformed practice within our Paediatric Ward
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a commitment to te reo me ōna tikanga
  • A demonstrated ability to embody the values of He Pou Oranga Tāngata Whenua and Hauora a Toi Manaakitanga in everyday practice
  • Flexibility and readiness to work rostered shifts
  • Previous experience working Kaupapa Māori health care setting is an advantage.
