We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Business Analyst with strong Axiom SL expertise to support regulatory reporting initiatives. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between regulatory interpretation, data sourcing, and technical implementation, working closely with Regulatory Reporting, Finance, Risk, IT, and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III/IV, COREP, FINREP, LCR, NSFR, Leverage Ratio, Large Exposures) and translate them into clear business and functional requirements
- Lead or support the implementation and enhancement of regulatory reporting solutions using Axiom SL
- Produce detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, data mapping documents, and regulatory rule interpretations
- Partner with data, technology, and Axiom developers to design, configure, and validate Axiom SL rules, mappings, and calculations
- Perform impact assessments for new or changing regulations and assess implications on existing Axiom SL frameworks and data models
- Support UAT, parallel runs, reconciliations, and defect resolution for regulatory submissions
- Ensure data lineage, traceability, and documentation meet internal governance and regulatory expectations
- Liaise with Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams to resolve interpretation or data issues
- Support regulatory audits, internal reviews, and supervisory inquiries
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices and process improvements
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within Regulatory Reporting in financial services
- Hands-on experience with Axiom SL, including rule configuration, data mapping, and reporting frameworks
- Strong understanding of regulatory reporting concepts and frameworks (e.g., Basel, COREP/FINREP, PRA/EBA/ECB reporting)
- Proven experience translating regulatory text into implementable business and functional requirements
- Strong data analysis skills; experience working with large, complex datasets
- Solid understanding of end-to-end regulatory reporting processes and controls
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with multiple regulatory regimes
- SQL or data querying experience
- Background in Risk, Finance, or Capital Management
- Experience supporting regulatory change initiatives or remediation programs
