Reliability Maintenance Engineering Regional Manager

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Regional Manager to lead engineering operations across multiple fulfillment and logistics sites in Victoria and Western Australia.

The Regional Manager leads multiple site-based engineering teams driving safety, compliance, equipment performance, talent development, and long-term engineering strategy across the region.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead and develop multiple site-based engineering teams, fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
  • Own statutory compliance and legal engineering obligations across the region, ensuring adherence to all WHS and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive high levels of equipment availability through robust preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Partner with Safety, Operations, Finance, and Design teams to plan capital upgrades, expansions, and future automation rollouts.
  • Lead regional strategic initiatives and sponsor large-scale engineering programs.
  • Own regional talent strategy, including workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning, and development of apprentices and graduates.
  • Maintain and regularly test contingency and business continuity plans for critical equipment failures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
  • 7+ years of facilities management, office management, corporate administrative services, or hospitality management experience
  • 7+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • 5+ years of distribution or manufacturing field with equivalent mechanical or electrical field experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in design review process to incorporate electrical, mechanical, automation controls solutions to drive equipment reliability and standards
  • Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls , industrial electronics
