Remote Freelance Social Video Editor (Full-Time, Philippines-Based)

Hull What's On is a leading lifestyle and events platform in the UK, helping over 100,000 people discover exciting places to eat, visit, and experience. Our social videos regularly reach over 1 million people per month, and we’re now looking for a talented freelance video editor to join our remote team.

This is a fully remote, full-time freelance role (30–40 hours per week), ideal for someone based in the Philippines, with strong editing skills and an eye for storytelling on social media.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Editing short 1–2 minute videos for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• We’ll supply 30–50 video clips each time, along with a pre-recorded voiceover.
• You’ll organise, trim, and sequence the clips to match the voiceover.
• Add suitable background music and basic transitions (nothing too fancy – we want it clean, quick, and snappy).
• Use CapCut or Wondershare Filmora for all edits.

What We're Looking For

• A creative video editor with experience editing for social media (please include samples).
• Confidence working to voiceover-led edits – you're not starting from scratch, but you’ll need to bring it to life visually.
• Strong storytelling instincts – the pacing, clip selection and flow are what makes these videos pop.
• Fast, reliable and good communication – we need someone who can manage regular weekly edits on schedule.
• Access to a good computer and stable internet – this is essential.
• Ability to invoice monthly as a freelancer – this is not a UK payroll role.

Hours & Pay

• 30–40 hours per week, depending on your availability and output.
• $500–$600 USD per month, depending on experience and weekly editing volume.
• Paid monthly upon receipt of invoice (via PayPal or Wise).
