The Opportunity:
National Post is seeking a reporter to cover federal politics.

What you'll do:

• The successful candidate will be based at our Parliament Hill bureau in Ottawa.
• Report for National Post and the Postmedia chain on federal political news, covering the important stories that are of interest to our readers, and initiating innovative enterprise and breaking-news stories.
• Write short articles and longer features, as well as occasionally appearing on our video and podcast productions.
• Regular attendance at the bureau in Ottawa and assignments reporting mainly from Parliament Hill, with possibility of occasional travel.

Who you are:

• Previous experience writing about provincial or federal politics is required.
• Having a network of contacts in the federal parties or government will be considered a formidable asset.
• Bilingualism is not required but will be considered an asset.
