We are now seeking a Research & Evaluation Officer to join our Impact team. This role supports the design and delivery of high-quality research and evaluation activities that strengthen our programs and improve outcomes for young people impacted by cancer.
You will contribute to applied research and evaluation projects, including a key national study exploring the hospital and care experiences of young people with cancer. - Base Salary + Superannuation + Not-For-Profit Salary Packaging (up to $18,550 of your salary tax-free).
- 5 Weeks Annual Leave (FTE) + 17.5% leave loading + pay during our annual office closure week.

About the role
- Support the design and delivery of quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation projects using best-practice, ethical approaches.
- Conduct literature reviews, evidence scans and data synthesis to inform projects and practice improvement.
- Assist with data collection and analysis, including surveys, interviews, focus groups and workshops.
- Contribute to project coordination, including tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and supporting governance processes.
- Engage with young people, families, healthcare professionals and internal teams to support collaborative research and evaluation.
- Support the development of reports, presentations and publications, translating findings into clear, accessible insights.
- Contribute to a national research study on the hospital and care experiences of young people diagnosed with cancer.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in evaluation, social sciences, health sciences, behavioural science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 3 years’ experience in research, evaluation or a related field.
- Experience supporting research and/or evaluation projects in a health, social or applied setting.
- Understanding of quantitative and/or qualitative methods and ethical research practice.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to contribute to clear, high-quality written outputs.
- A collaborative, motivated team member who is curious, adaptable and eager to learn.

Employment Expectations
