[What you will be working on]
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provides research support to the Coordinator and Lead Researchers in ASEAN Studies Centre
- Assists in the editing and production of the Centre’s publications, including ASEANFocus+ and the State of Southeast Asia Survey Report
- Assists in the organisation and management of conferences, training workshops and seminars/webinars including emceeing and note-taking as and when required
- Maintains the Centre’s webpage, mailing lists and social media including the active dissemination of its research outputs
- Anchors the Centre’s public outreach efforts and supports projects related to the understanding of ASEAN and the promotion of ASEAN studies
- Undertakes research projects under the guidance of ASC Lead Researchers
[What we are looking for]
Requirements
- BA/MA degree in international relations, political science, economics, sociology, Southeast Asian Studies or related fields.
- Good communication and writing skills in English
- Proficiency in a Southeast Asian language is a bonus
- Experience in copy-editing and other forms of editorial work would be highly desirable
- Knowledge of quantitative survey methodologies and statistical work
- Proficiency in statistical software such as Excel, Stata, or R
- Data visualization skills will be an advantage
- Positive work attitude and ability to work under demanding circumstances
- Team spirit, self-motivated and a high sense of professionalism
