About Hotel Alba:
Hotel Alba is a revitalized urban retreat located on South Terrace in the Adelaide CBD, offering views of the South Parklands. It is a modern, stylish hotel that aims to provide a resort-like atmosphere within the city center. The hotel is part of the Independent Collection by EVT.

About the Role:
As a Reservations Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, handling phone and digital enquiries with professionalism and warmth. From restaurant bookings to room reservations, housekeeping requests to room service orders, you’ll be the communication hub of the resort. Your knowledge of our property and your ability to deliver seamless service will ensure every guest feels valued and cared for.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage guest reservations, including FIT and group bookings, waitlists, and “no shows”
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints with efficiency and empathy
  • Record guest preferences and ensure they are acted upon to enhance the stay experience
  • Process check-ins and check-outs via the Property Management System (Opera)
  • Maintain accuracy in reservations, guest requests, and interdepartmental communication
  • Upsell services and promote special offers to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue
  • Support colleagues with ad-hoc duties and foster strong team relationships
  • Ensure guest complaints are logged and escalated appropriately
  • Maintain knowledge of rates, promotions, and resort services
Skills & Experience:
  • Customer service experience (hotel or resort preferred)
  • Clear communication and fluent English (extra languages a bonus)
  • Organised and detail-focused
  • Comfortable using computers and reservation systems (Opera knowledge ideal)
  • Problem-solving mindset to handle guest issues smoothly
  • Professional appearance and grooming
  • Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
