About us:
Rosewood Matakauri is an alpine lakeside retreat nestled in one of the world's most serenely beautiful landscapes. Spectacularly situated on Lake Wakatipu and only seven minutes from Queenstown. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our team.

About the role:
We are seeking a strong leader and experienced F&B professional.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a dynamic role in which you will oversee all restaurant, bar and beverage operations, manage rosters, while actively participating in shifts and ensuring seamless operations.

You will bring strategic and creative thinking which will be instrumental in driving revenue. You will be required to use proven business acumen, to manage costs, budget and forecast.

Effective team training, coaching, and building relationships are essential to the success of this role.

You will be an integral part of the hotel management team and will work closely with our Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, Front Office and Guest Relations.

The successful candidate will have:

Inspirational leadership skills

A background in fine dining, luxury hotel restaurants and wine service is essential

Minimum 3 years’ senior level experience in a similar role and management experience is essential

Exceptional communication skills

Strong beverage and wine knowledge.

Ability to train a team to LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) standards
*

Impeccable personal grooming - and undeniable charm
*

Knowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems
*

Good level of financial acumen. Proficient in understanding and interpreting financial documents

Adaptable to guest and business needs
*

Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues
*

Ability to work accurately in a fast paced and dynamic environment
*

Reliable, honest and engaged with excellent attention to detail

This is a full-time position (45 hours over 5 days per week) with the ability to accrue time in lieu for any work on additional days.
