Retail Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

- Greet customers warmly and professionally upon entry.

- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and offer assistance in finding desired products.

- Provide detailed product information and answer customer questions regarding features, benefits, and usage.

- Handle customer complaints and inquiries promptly and effectively.

- Promote current sales and promotions to customers.

Sales Transactions:

- Accurately operate the point-of-sale system to process customer purchases.

- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods securely.

- Ensure proper bagging and wrapping of merchandise.

- Merchandising and Inventory Management:

- Receive and unpack new shipments, verifying quantities and quality.

- Stock shelves with merchandise, rotating stock to maintain freshness.

- Maintain neat and organized displays, adhering to visual merchandising standards.

- Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.

Store Maintenance:

- Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor, including dusting shelves, sweeping floors, and removing clutter.

- Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including security checks.

Other Duties:

- Assist with price checks and price changes as needed.

- Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment.

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, customer service, and sales practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on providing a positive shopping experience

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment

- Basic math skills to handle transactions accurately

- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace

- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays

Salary range: SGD2,200 - 3,000

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $2,200.00 - $3,000.00 per month
