We are currently seeking an innovative Retail Food Service Manager to manage the team and share our vision of providing superior quality products. In this position you will report to the Store Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Foodservice Division which includes the Lunch line, Prepared Foods, Kitchen Production and Juice Bar in our Bedford, NS retail location.
The Retail Food Service Manager will be given the unique opportunity to be a hands on business unit operator within the Pete's Fine Foods Bedford retail store! The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit; someone looking to deliver our unique, on-trend products to our discerning clientele through a top notch customer experience.

Qualifications:
- Three or more years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment
- People management skills (strong leadership skills, organizational structure, communication, motivation, performance management, succession planning etc.)
- Product knowledge – Strong interest and knowledge of food and food trends
• Entrepreneurial spirit and approach to business • Experience developing menu items which excite and appeal to our customer demographic
- Strong sense of creativity when creating a menu and proven ability to innovate
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Strong customer service experience and ability
- The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
- Financially savvy: ability to meet and maintain high sales, wage targets, profitability etc.
- The ability to lead & control inventory counts, control food costs, manage waste
- Confidence, drive, energy and enthusiasm
- Computer skills including MSOffice, Time and Attendance management software, etc.
- Strong interpersonal & team building skills
- Vendor relationship skills and purchasing skills (procurement, supply chain management)
- Organizational awareness
- Delegation skills and coaching skills
- Has an ability to build trust and rapport with others; develop and maintain collaborative relationships
- Follows through on commitments
- Flexible Scheduling
- Frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) is required
