Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to customers while promoting our products and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will be key to driving sales and fostering customer loyalty.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and ensure accurate cash handling practices.
• Upsell products by effectively communicating their benefits and features to customers.
• Maintain stock levels on the sales floor, ensuring that shelves are well-stocked and organized.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items or promotions.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
• Utilize phone etiquette when answering calls from customers or vendors.

Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse customer base.
• Experience in a grocery store environment is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader audience.
• Proficiency in cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to upsell products effectively through persuasive communication techniques.
• Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is advantageous.
• Knowledge of stock management practices to maintain inventory levels efficiently.
• Familiarity with product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding of offerings.
