Vardis Security are looking for Retail Security Officers to join their team.

Although you will be working under the direct supervision of the Security Supervisor/Store Manager for your assigned shift, we will rely upon you for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers, tenants, visitors, and property at the Store.

Objectives of this role:

• Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, access control, monitoring and equipment control.
• Be always visible and observant.
• Greeting Staff, Guests, and Contractors in a courteous and attentive manner.
• Respond immediately to disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately in a calm professional manner.
• Maintain the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance.
• Collaborate with other security officers and centre management.
• Maintain a high level of vigilance and help combat shrinkage.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol property on foot.
• Investigate and take appropriate action as required by company policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activity, safety, and fire incidents.
• Control and monitor CCTV always adhering to GDPR and perform building and equipment inspections.
• Complete daily reports including relevant information, observations, CCTV footage and signatures.
• Secure all doors and exits depending on shift.

Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold an in date and valid PSA licence.
• Proven 1-2 years’ experience as a security officer (preferred retail but not essential)
• A clear spoken voice and good command of English.
• Experience with security equipment and CCTV.
• Preferably able to travel to other sites in the region

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €14.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bray, CO. Wicklow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Junior Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

• Security: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• PSA (preferred)
