Retail Store Manager

We are a privately owned and operated service station. Our business has a good reputation in the community and believe in customer service. These positions will require attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and instructions but also use your initiative.

In these roles you will be committed to delivering excellent Customer Service - from serving customers, looking after food service, dispensing coffees, processing sales, merchandising & stocktaking, taking dips, housekeeping, and offer forecourt services.

KEY CRITERIA - "Sole person in charge. You are a mature, reliable person and comes to work as planned."

Position: Store Manager (1 Position)
Job Location: Stratford

Job Hours: 32 Hours minimum.

Duration: Mornings/Evenings 6 days a week, must be flexible to work weekends or any Public Holidays as per business requirements.

5. Experience improving customer experience and operational efficiencies

6. Ability to balance multiple projects/initiatives with business-as-usual activities

7. Flexibility with your schedule, working a variety of hours during operational hours.

We are looking for a customer-oriented individual to manage and oversee all operations. It is a full-time permanent position. Applicants must have New Zealand/Overseas 2 years of management experience in a related field.

Some of Job Responsibilities will include:

1. Oversee, plan & manage operations

2. Accurate stock control, cash handling, shift balances and banking processes.

3. Staff management including recruitment & coaching, training and supervision

4. Make decisions on all products sold and services offered with the goal of maximizing station revenue.

5. Plan and prepare staff rosters & manage payroll

6. Resolve staff grievances

7. Handle customer complaints.

8. budgeting and reviewing of the policies and prices

9. Ensure that the business meets its legal obligations

Pay Range $25/hr - $30/hr - based on experience

Schedule:

  • Public holidays
  • Rotating roster
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Stratford, Taranaki: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
