Classification: Full Time – Hourly
Pay Range: $22 to $27
Location: Campbell, CA
Reports To: Branch Manager

Mission:
Hayward will be the most dependable supplier of products, services and solutions to the construction market, as it has been since 1919.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient and effective daily operation of retail store departments and services.
- Responsible for achieving financial and performance results based on internal metrics.
- Scheduling staff to cover days and hours of operation while meeting payroll to sales targets by monitoring service demands against resource availability.
- Maintain the highest quality countersales staff to ensure the best customer service possible.
- Support development and retention of a strong, satisfied customer base.
- Help to maximize the sales potential from all assigned areas as well as the total branch.
- Assist in effective control of inventory from receipt to sale.
- Assist in maintaining a positive branch image in the communities and markets served.
- Ensure the ability to provide a product mix within the store that appeals to customer demands/needs and stimulates a desire to purchase.
- Ensure a safe working environment and attitude on the parts of all employees in areas of responsibility.
- Assist management and staff in achieving overall branch objectives.
- Assisting in maintaining high levels of customer service at all times.
- Support the organization’s mission, vision, and values at all times.
Qualifications:
- 1 2 years’ experience in the lumber & building supplies industry (retail experience is a plus)
- Strong people management and team building skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
- Ability to motivate team members in order to increase productivity
- Knowledge of current employee labor law (meals & breaks)
- Experience in retail environment, merchandising, inventory control, material handling and delivery
- Well organized, able to multitask and prioritize.
- Must take and pass drug test and consent to a background check
