Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles to transport steel and other construction materials.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper securement and handling.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Full clean C Licence.
- Experience operating a commercial vehicle.
- Excellent driving record and knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Ability to safely load, unload, and secure heavy materials.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift experience is desirable.
