Location: Dublin, Ireland and Nationwide Travel
Salary: Up to €30,000 basic salary (DOE) + Fully Expensed Company Vehicle + iPad
Working Hours: Full-time, permanent role (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm; No weekends or bank holidays!)

As a Domiciliary Optical Assistant, you will travel throughout Ireland, delivering eye care services to patients in their homes and in several hundred nursing homes that we service nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
- Travel across Ireland to visit patients in their homes and nursing homes, delivering and fitting glasses.
- Assist opticians during their busy clinics, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care.
- Complete essential paperwork, update our database, and ensure accurate patient records.
- Plan routes independently, ensuring the most efficient use of your time and resources.
- Take initiative, be a self-starter, and help the business reach its goals through excellent customer service and proactive work.
- Occasional overnight stays may be required for longer-distance visits.
- Communicating effectively with vulnerable elderly patients, offering excellent care and empathy.
- Weekly in-person meetings with the Manager, so you should ideally be based in or near Dublin.
Requirements:
- Optical experience is an advantage, as well as familiarity with Salesforce (preferred but not required).
- Full clean driving licence and a confident driver, as you’ll be on the road across the country.
- A passion for patient care and experience in optical dispensing.
- Outgoing and friendly personality, ready to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Full fluency in English, with strong communication skills required to effectively connect with patients, their families, and your team.
- Initiative and self-motivation to handle the variety of tasks and travel involved.
- Ability to work independently while ensuring that the business meets its targets and patient needs.
