Science Lab Assistant

Contract Period: 5 January 2026 – 31 December 2026

Location: Woodlands Ring Road, Singapore

Last Date of Submission: 15th Sept, 10:30 AM

Working Hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
• Fridays: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, or gazetted public holidays

Scope of Services:

Teaching and Learning:

• Prepare materials, apparatus, and Science labs for conducting experiments, including hydroponics systems (vertical hydroponics), veggie towers, vermicomposting, and mushroom cultivation.
• Assist teachers during science lessons and enrichment lessons as required.

Maintenance:

• Ensure Science apparatus, equipment, and teaching resources are in serviceable condition, reporting damages to the Science Level Head and HOD.
• Administer the maintenance of the school eco-garden, including monitoring plant conditions and feeding fish in the pond.
• Oversee the maintenance of the hydroponics system, reporting faults or damages.
• Assist the Science HOD in monitoring inventory for Science apparatus, equipment, and teaching resources.

School Events:

• Assist teachers in preparation and support of Science Club activities and other science-related school events.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum qualification: Full GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level certificate or equivalent.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong team player with a high level of initiative.
• Basic First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred.
• Preferably 5 years of relevant work experience in a primary school laboratory.
• Prior experience with hydroponics, veggie towers, vermicomposting, and mushroom cultivation preferred.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to $3,000.00 per month

Experience:

• primary school laboratory setting: 5 years (Preferred)
• Science Lab Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
• Science labs, apparatus, and teaching resources: 1 year (Preferred)
