Senior Accountant
Why Join Us?
We’re on a mission to empower people with disabilities to do what they once did or never thought possible. As the world-leader in assistive communication solutions, we empower our customers to
express themselves, connect with the world, and live richer lives
.

At Tobii Dynavox, you can grow your career within
a dynamic, global company
that has a clear, impactful purpose - with the flexibility to also do what truly matters to you outside of work. What’s more, you’ll be part of a work culture where collaboration is the norm and individuality is welcomed.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the power to grow ideas in an unconventional environment. At the same time, you’ll work in a culture of ongoing learning and development, allowing you to constantly expand your area of expertise.
About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be part of our global accounting team of six colleagues, partnering closely with our Accounting Manager. You will take ownership of accounting activities and statutory reporting for multiple Tobii Dynavox subsidiaries, including closing processes, bank reconciliations, and annual reporting.
In this role you will act as the main contact for external auditors and accounting firms for the appointed legal entities. You will also ensure adherence to Tobii Dynavox policies and governance documents, while coaching and supporting colleagues in the accounting team in various questions. If you are an analytical professional with a solid understanding of accounting principles, this could be your next career move, where your contributions matter—both within the team and across the business.
Please note: This is a hybrid role (2-3 days a week) from our office in Stockholm city with flexible working hours and more in-person meetings and training during onboarding.
Your main responsibility will include:
  • Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting (journals, ledgers, general accounts) and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Indirect & Direct Tax Reporting: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Month/Year/Quarter Closings: Prepare and analyze financial statements, such as balance sheet account reconciliations, income statements, and in some cases, cash flow statements/forecasts. Reconcile balance sheet accounts by resolving differences in a timely manner with a complete and accurate trail of supporting documentation.
  • Audits: Be in contact with external auditors and assist with the preparation of audit materials and financial reports.
  • Continuous Improvements & ERP: Identify, suggest, and lead digitalization, automation and process-improvement initiatives to develop quality and efficient ways of working.
  • Collaboration: Coach and support accounting colleagues and work cross-functionally across Dynavox Group.
  • Regulations & Governance: Support implementation of financial controls and governance. Stay updated with accounting standards, financial regulations, and industry-specific requirements to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
What We're Looking For:
We are excited to meet candidates who combine a hands-on approach with the ability to see the bigger picture. The ideal person for this role takes ownership, understands what needs to be done, and sets a clear plan to deliver results with accountability, accuracy and integrity. Success in this position comes from being highly organized and able to prioritize effectively. We value analytical individuals who are adaptable to change, resilient in fast-moving environments and committed to quality.

Ideal candidates will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Accounting.
  • Experience of minimum 5 years, ideally with exposure to subsidiaries, multiple legal entities, or group-level operations.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and experience of working with direct/indirect tax compliance and audits.
  • Familiarity or experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) from an accounting perspective is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, preferably experience with Dynamics 365.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, organization and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail to identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple business functions.
  • Clear and professional communication skills in English are required. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
