MISSION:

We are looking for a “Senior accountant” who is responsible for end-to-end financial closing & reporting and performs detailed reviews & analysis while ensuring compliance with regulatory, accounting and internal governance requirements.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own end-to-end finance scopes for Coface Singapore Branch
  • Regulatory requirement submission – Support Finance Manager to prepare Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) reporting submission and ensure compliance with MAS reporting requirements and internal control policies
  • Month-end closing – Prepare general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and closing activities with support of Shared service team
  • Audit & tax requirement – Coordinate closely with external auditor & tax firm to ensure completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and tax filings in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Internal audit, compliance, risk management – Be a level 1 control owner for Coface Singapore Branch and collaborate with internal auditor, compliance officer and risk manager
• Provide guidance and review work of junior team members and Shared service team

• Support finance manager to drive “Operational excellence” initiative - continuously driving process improvement, simplification & efficiency with close collaboration with Shared Service Center team in Bangalore

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree – in business or finance or accounting
• CPA Australia certification or ACCA certification or CA Singapore certification is a prerequisite
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting or audit
• Audit experience from Big 4 is preferred, but not mandatory. Candidates with relevant audit or accounting experience from multi-national corporations (MNCs) are also encouraged to apply
• Experience in Insurance or financial services industry and/or Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) reporting submission is an added advantage
