10 - 15%We are the FIS Automated Finance team responsible for a suite of receivable processing, payables workflows, account analysis and the creation of the Office Of The CFO platform that brings them all together. This mission is to modernize the automation that supports a businesses financial health. As a recognized industry leader for Order-to-Cash, utilizing ML and AI for intelligent automation, and Accounts Payable optimization using Virtual Cards, but we’re not stopping there. We are accelerating time-to-value, and unlocking AP & AR services for the larger FinTech platform through broad and deep engagement of AI and centralized data services. Targeting a cloud first architecture we are heavily focused on Azure hosting capabilities and leveraging Microsoft tools for data centralization.

General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Build and cultivate a high-performing engineering team with a passion for cloud-native principles, microservices architecture, and continuous delivery. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and ownership.
- Technology Vision: Define the platform's technical roadmap and architecture, evangelizing best practices and aligning with business objectives. Stay ahead of industry trends and ensure our platform utilizes the latest advancements in cloud-native technologies.
- Delivery Excellence: As a hands-on Manager, work closely with product management and your team to define the roadmap and manage delivery. Drive high-quality code, excellent performance, and seamless scalability.
- Operational Excellence: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for system health, performance, and security. Lead efforts to prevent outages and ensure the platform's continuous availability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and other cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the development process.
- Talent: Attract and retain top engineering talent. Foster a culture of learning and development, providing opportunities for growth and mentorship within the team.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of industry experience of increasing responsibility running engineering teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Databricks and experience designing and creating centralized data services operating through three layers of data transformation from raw data to transformed data to semantic data operated and used by high level applications and reaching to legacy platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft AI foundry and the creation of scalable AI agent development and delivery platforms.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native principles, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals and communicate to engineering teams as well as business and Product Management.
- Experience leading projects from ideation to architectural design to development to production, while setting and maintaining high standards of technical excellence across your team.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, asynchronous architectures, and distributed algorithms.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, and a history of working effectively with your team and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or directly related field from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or interest in building FinTech, payment, or banking systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science or directly related field.
- Leaders of leaders: has experience growing and managing other junior managers of engineering teams.
- Strong technical credentials, with at least 10 years of technical engineering leadership, with 3+ years of experience in large scale distributed system development including hands on operational experience.
- Proven experience with full development life cycle for large-scale software products including extensive experience with service-oriented architectures, design patterns and web services.
