Senior Finance Manager Retail Product Brands

We have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to oversee our Donnybrook Fair business and other Retail Product Brands within our Finance function.

This role is part of the Donnybrook Fair Management Team, reporting directly to the Head of FP&A. The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for the delivery of the three-year business plan and the delivery of the annual budget and forecasts for all Retail Product Brands. The role will work closely with the Retail Financial Controller to ensure appropriate governance and financial control across Donnybrook Fair and other Product Brands.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Member of the Donnybrook Fair Management Team

  • Support the development and execution of the business strategy for the Donnybrook Fair business, including Morehampton Foods.

  • Proactively support commercial decisions and add value to the decision-making process.

  • Bring challenge to the Management Team to business plans and initiatives outside of the finance remit.

  • Ensure business KPI reporting is accessible, user focused and action orientated.

  • Ensure Donnybrook Fair is complying with all Musgrave governance (Capex approval, budget etc.) and identifying and escalating risk when required.

  • Support the Management team on any ad hoc projects that arise.

Management of the Donnybrook Fair Finance Function

  • Lead the business in the completion of the Budget, Forecast and 3 Year Plans.

  • Ensure the weekly P&L is in line with Budget, any variances are understood and clearly communicated.

  • Management of the weekly reporting process including optimization of payroll and shrink.

  • Deliver support in understanding key sales, margin, waste, shrink and payroll trends. Identify causes of issues and suggested remedies to same.

  • Ensure monthly management accounts are received and are accurate with any variances being investigated and understood.

  • Work with FC team to ensure Donnybrook Fair year end audit goes smoothly, all areas of judgement are appropriately supported and align on any key decisions with Group.

  • Develop and grow key relationships with stakeholders including MBS.

  • Develop the team through effective performance management techniques to enable achievement of business and personal objectives.

Head of Finance for Retail Product Brands

  • Lead the completion of the Budget, Forecast and 3 Year Plans for Caramico, The Happy Pear, Clean Cut Meals & Moo’d.

  • Report on the End to End Profitability of all Product Brands.

  • Work with financial control and external parties to ensure all results for Clean Cut Meals are received and correctly recorded.

  • Deliver reports and scorecards for all key metrics, utilising all technology advances available.

  • Proactively support commercial decisions and add value to the decision-making process.

  • Ensure KPI reporting is accessible, user focused and action orientated.

  • Ensure the P&L performance is in line with Budget, any variances are understood and communicated.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Professional Accountancy Qualification - ACA, CIMA, ACCA, etc.

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Senior FP&A role

  • Possess the leadership qualities to help drive profitable business growth

  • Need to think and act like a retailer

  • Significant experience managing stakeholders and operating at a senior level within an organization

  • Business degree or other relevant professional qualification
