As a Senior Media Specialist, you’ll take ownership of a significant portfolio of clients whose confidence in the power of media is growing. These customers will rely on your expertise to educate, influence and elevate their advertising strategies through smart, audience-led campaigns.

This is a senior, commercially focused role where you’ll build long-term partnerships, unlock new revenue opportunities, and deliver impactful, multi-platform media solutions using NZME’s full product suite. You’ll play a key role in strengthening NZME’s market presence while consistently achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

You’ll succeed by combining strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of audiences and media performance. In this role, you will:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key clients, delivering year-on-year revenue growth

  • Design and implement dynamic, audience-driven multimedia campaigns across NZME platforms

  • Identify and capitalise on new business development opportunities as they arise

  • Use audience insights, analytics and research to shape effective media strategies

  • Provide accurate forecasting, reporting and pipeline management through CRM systems

  • Work efficiently, prioritising workloads to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, contributing to planning meetings and campaign optimisation

  • Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, colleagues and leaders

  • Actively share knowledge, helping to lift capability and understanding across the wider team


ABOUT YOU

You’re a confident, commercially savvy media professional who thrives on building relationships and delivering results. You’ll bring:

  • Proven success in media sales and/or new business development, with clear examples of high-performing multimedia campaigns

  • Strong experience managing complex client portfolios and consistently achieving sales targets

  • A solid understanding of the New Zealand media landscape and business market

  • An audience-first mindset, using data and insight to inform decisions

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • The ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment

  • A relevant degree and/or extensive practical experience in media or sales

  • A collaborative approach, with a willingness to mentor and support others
