About the role
The Senior Research Associate will work with a team using techniques like chromatography (GC, LC) and mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS). The role focuses on executing in vivo/in vitro toxicology studies efficiently.
Responsibilities include ensuring scientific rigor, collaborating with team members, maintaining compliance with guidelines such as OECD GLP, ISO, AVA, AAALAC, OECD TGs, and USFDA, and managing resources and timelines. The researcher will also maintain and update equipment and laboratory systems.

Responsibilities
- Full-time involvement in the management of studies, including performing routine and non-routine experiments under good laboratory practices. Must be able to work proactively, with excellent self-autonomy, and good time management.
- To participate in several study-based activities (planning, maintenance). To assist the implementation and development of experimental methods and techniques based on the upcoming needs of the studies.
- To produce quality results within the required time frame, as well as analyse data and draw basic conclusions. To review routine data, monitor and escalate deviations. Support quality / compliance inspections and audits conducted by both internal and external parties.
- To perform qualification/validation set-up of new analytical endpoints and equipment. Able to configure complex systems.
- To manage/troubleshoot existing equipment and ensure adequate maintenance.
- Ensure the day to day laboratory operation is smooth and efficient. Foster a culture of collaboration and enable frequent technical exchange across the network. Able to train other staff in experimental techniques/technology systems related to the lab.
- To perform general administrative work such as tracking the supply of daily consumables.
- To coordinate with vendors/suppliers on procurement matters.
- Back up to the manager bioanalytical & in vitro operations to review and approve test results and assist on study planning for the Bioanalytic department in work flow optimization, resourcing, procurement etc.
- Assist and support in writing technical reports (method validation protocol and report); update standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions (WKIs) and data compilation.
Requirements
- Diploma with 3 - 4 years’ experience/ Degree with 1 - 2 years’ experience (eg, experience with chromatography methods like HPLC and GC).
- Ideally experience within a CRO, R&D unit within pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, or translational academic research organizations
- Hands-on experience on a broad range of analytical and bioanalytical platforms , i.e. LC/GC, LC-MS/MS, and other characterization tools for chemical entities.
- Good understanding on regulatory guidelines such as FDA, ICH, OECD GLP and TGs related to in vivo toxicology study.
- Good communication and writing skills
- Proficient in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint.
