Details about the role:

The Senior Sales Manager will lead our sponsorship and partnerships efforts, driving revenue growth and fostering meaningful relationships with brands aligned with our mission. They will collaborate with the leadership team and have the opportunity to develop and grow the sales and sponsorship team. This is a leadership role that will help shape the future of women’s sports in Ireland through strategic commercial partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Activation Planning

  • Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Develop and refine sales materials, including media kits, presentations, and proposals.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to align sponsorship opportunities with overall business goals.
  • Target areas include sponsorships, events and activations, media buying

Sponsorship Acquisition & Management

  • Identify, negotiate, and secure sponsorship deals with brands aligned with Her Sport’s mission.
  • Develop tailored sponsorship packages that meet client objectives while supporting Her Sport’s revenue targets.
  • Develop measurement framework across sales channels (sponsorships, events and activations, media buying).
  • Excellent project management skills, including budget management and financial administration.
  • Maintain and grow long-term relationships with key sponsors and partners. Clients include Energia, AIB, Lidl, Life Style Sports and other leading national and global brands.

Campaign Activation & Reporting

  • Work closely with the content and marketing teams to ensure seamless activation of sponsorship campaigns.
  • Track campaign performance and deliver insights and ROI reports to sponsors post-activation.

Market Development

  • Stay ahead of industry trends to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Represent Her Sport at networking events, conferences, and meetings to build brand awareness and generate leads.

Background and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in sales and/or sponsorship, ideally within media, sports, or event industries. A strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and execute effectively.
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers and negotiate win-win partnerships.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple partnerships simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Irish sponsorship market and strong working relationships with agencies & PR companies. Knowledge of the sports and media sponsorship market is an advantage.
  • Passionate about sports and/or gender equality and aligned with Her Sport’s vision.
  • Experience in impact driven sponsorships is a bonus.

Pay: From €45,000.00 per year
